General & Geography
According to abbreviationfinder, Kos is located in the Eastern Aegean Sea and, along with Rhodes and Karpathos, is part of the Dodecanese archipelago, which includes about 25 inhabited islands.

Kos is located directly at the entrance to the Gulf of Gökova and is at the shortest point only four kilometers from the Turkish city of Bodrum. The highest point on the island is the up to 846 meter high Dikeos massif in the east of Kos.
In addition to the dreamlike, almost 30 kilometers long sandy beaches and high-class holiday hotels, Kos is also known for its charming villages and fertile plains, which are used, among other things, for the cultivation of citrus fruits, almonds and grapes.
The journey usually takes place via the island’s own airport Kos-Hippocrates, which is served by several Greek airlines and, especially during the high season, by German holiday airlines.
