According to wholevehicles, Sudan is a country located in Northeast Africa with an area of 1,886,068 square kilometers. It is bordered by Egypt to the north, the Red Sea to the northeast, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the east, South Sudan to the south, the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west and Libya to the northwest. The country experiences a subtropical climate with hot summers and mild winters. Sudan’s higher education system is composed of seven public universities and several private universities as well as numerous colleges and institutes. The public universities are located in Khartoum (University of Khartoum), Omdurman Islamic University and Ahfad University for Women among others. Most degree programs are taught in Arabic although some universities offer English-taught programs such as those offered by Future University in Khartoum or Nile Valley University in Rabak. There are also a number of foreign universities which have established campuses or joint-degree programs in Sudan such as Germany’s Leibniz University Hannover or France’s Université de Nantes.
