According to wholevehicles, Malawi is a landlocked country located in southeastern Africa. It is bordered by Mozambique to the east and south, Tanzania to the north, and Zambia to the west. It has an area of 118,484 square kilometers, making it one of the smallest countries in Africa. The terrain consists mostly of high plateaus and rolling hills with some mountains in the east and south. Lake Malawi is the largest body of water within Malawi’s borders, covering nearly a third of its surface area. The education system in Malawi is largely based on the British system. Primary education is free and compulsory for all children between 6 to 12 years old and lasts for seven years. Secondary education consists of three levels: Junior Secondary (grades 8-9), Senior Secondary (grades 10-12) and Post-Secondary (college or university). There are also teacher training colleges as well as vocational training centers available for students who wish to pursue a career in technical or manual labor. The government has implemented various initiatives over the past few years aimed at improving access to quality education for all citizens, including free textbooks and school uniforms for primary school students as well as providing scholarships for those pursuing higher education.
